00118 - Attackdykare also known as the Swedish Combat Divers, is the special forces unit of the Swedish Navy. Created in 1957, the unit is primarily responsible for conducting amphibious operations, including reconnaissance, sabotage, and direct action missions in coastal and inland waterways. To become a member of the Attackdykare, candidates must pass a grueling selection process that includes physical, psychological, and intellectual tests. Once selected, they undergo extensive training in various disciplines, including diving, combat swimming, and close-quarters battle techniques. Attackdykare have been deployed in a number of international missions, including the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo and the EU-led anti-piracy operation in the Horn of Africa.
