00078 - ETA, ETA primarily specializes in strategic reconnaissance and direct action and is modeled on the British Special Air Service. The Greek special-operations unit is composed of six teams that are separated based on their infiltration specialty. Two teams specialize in military free-fall parachute — High Altitude High Opening and Hight Altitude Low Opening — operations, two teams specialize in combat diving, and two teams specializing in mountain warfare. With less than 100 special operators in total, the ETA is one of the smallest special-operations units in the Greek military.
