00031 -  The Gruppo Operativo Incursori (GOI) represent the maritime Special Operation Forcees (SOF) of the italian Defence.  The GOI trace their history from the elite frogman of 10th MAS FLOTTILLA  of the World War II,  well known for the heroic actions that led to the sinking of important enemy warships and merchant vessels with unconventional tecnique that. untill then, where unknown to the rest of the world. A few brave operators with limited resources available, developed, in total secrecy, amazing naval strike concepts and capabilities.
The men of the GOI have inherited the inspiring principles, the traditions and the spirit of their predecessors, expanding the margins of employment and the capabilities  in multiple domains to effectively counter the current threats.
